The boys got a new sprinkler and LOVE it!  I took a ton of pictures...sorry for the overload.  But I couldn't decide which ones I like best :)

Gavin testing it out and not sure if he likes it

This sprinkler is crazy!  There were few places to hide from it's spray.

Rees and Owen loved running through it

Gavin on the other hand stayed on the sidelines!

I love this one of Gavin!  Don't mind the snow sleds in the background...we were cleaning out the garage

Rees just jumped right into the middle of the sprinkler

Gavin braved the sprinkler to get his ball

Then he made a run for it!

Owen coming after his ball

Rees making his way through the water drops

Gavin was having more fun playing on the slide

Owen and Rees working together to spray the ball and make it move

Fourth of July

We had our big Fourth of July party yesterday.  I don't have many pictures until my dad gets his camera card to me :)  But here are the ones I have!  Enjoy!

Must Read!

I stole this from someone else's blog....it was too good not to steal :)  Please take the time to read it and maybe change some one else's life by doing something nice for someone.

(PS- I promise new pics of the boys soon!)

Blue Rose

Having four visiting family members, the wife was very busy, so I
offered to go to the store for her to get some needed items, which included
light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags, detergent, and Clorox. So off I
went.

I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies, and headed for
the checkout counter, only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man
who appeared to be about sixteen-years-old. I wasn't in a hurry, so I
patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there. This was when he
waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, "Mommy,
I'm over here."

It was obvious now, he was mentally challenged, and also startled as
he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His
eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, "Hey Buddy, what's
your name?"

"My name is Denny and I'm shopping with my mother," he responded
proudly. "Wow," I said, "that's a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but
my name is Steve."

"Steve, like Stevarino?" he asked.

"Yes," I answered. "How old are you Denny?"

"How old am I now, Mommy?" he asked his mother as she slowly came over
from the next aisle.. "You're fifteen-years-old Denny; now be a good boy
and let the man pass by."

I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more
minutes about summer, bicycles, and school. I watched his brown eyes dance
with excitement because he was the center of someone's attention. He then
abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section.

Denny's mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking
the time to talk with her son. She told me that most people wouldn't even
look at him, much less talk to him. I told her that it was my pleasure and
then I said something I have no idea where it came from, other than by the
prompting of the Holy Spirit.

I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow, and pink roses in
God's Garden; however, "Blue Roses" are very rare and should be appreciated
for their beauty and distinctiveness. You see, Denny is a Blue Rose and if
someone doesn't stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that
rose with their kindness, then they've missed a blessing from God.

She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked,
"Who are you?"

Without thinking I said, "Oh, I'm probably just a dandelion but I sure
love living in God's garden."

She reached out, squeezed my hand, and said, "God bless you!" and then
I had tears in my eyes.

May I suggest that the next time you see a BLUE ROSE, don't turn your
head and walk off. Take the time to smile and say Hello. Why? Because, by
the grace of GOD, this mother or father could be you. This could be your
child, grandchild, niece, or nephew. What a difference a moment can mean to
that person or their family.

From an old dandelion!

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the
rest to God.

but people will never forget how you made them feel."lue Rose

They are GONE!

Rees had his tonsils and adenoids removed today.  He did a great job!!!  He is staying the night just to make sure his pain is under control and then Gavin, Owen, and I will go pick him and daddy up.

Here I am with my brave little man before surgery

He had to wait for an hour in the pre-op area.  He got very goofy after they gave him the meds to relax him :) In this picture bear is honking his nose!
And here he is all ready to go :)

Rees' Field Day

Rees had field day at his school last week!  Daddy went to cheer him on and take some pictures.  From what I can see it looks like everyone had a great time.

Patiently waiting his turn

Scooping some water (I think)

Carrying it to the other side while wearing a donut!!!

Pass it on!

Another water activity, this time with a sponge

Go Rees Go!!!

He came home excited and exhausted so I think it was a wonderful day!

Sprinkler Fun!

While shopping yesterday I found a really cool sprinkler!  It was so hot yesterday afternoon that I put bathing suits on the boys and lathered them in sunblock, then we headed outside for some sprinkler fun.

Rees was the bravest and jumped right in

Owen stayed on the outskirts of the sprinkler at first because he wasn't real sure about it

Gavin on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the sprinkler.  The only problem was....as you can see....the sprinkler sprayed everywhere!
And of course Rees had to go in and grab the sprayers and try his best to get his brothers!

Then Owen got brave and joined Rees in the sprinkler.
They were trying to see who could spray the ball the most.

Gavin decided that the playground was a better place for him.  But the exciting thing is that he went down the slide for the first time all by himself!!!

Old Pictures

Since my other blog is gone, I thought I would post a few old pictures :)  Most of them are from last spring and summer.  Enjoy!

This is Rees' preschool graduation.  It was the cutest thing to see all the kids in their caps and gowns!

Here are the boys on the beach last summer.  Notice that Owen (blue hat) is freaking out because his feet are touching the sand!  Gavin actually handled it really well...and he is the one with sensory issues.

Bob and Rees getting their feet wet in the ocean.  Rees ended up getting wet all the way up to his belly!  We were so proud of him, he was a lot like Owen when he was little :)
My little boys riding the fire truck! (Gavin-back, Owen-front)
First day of school!  Rees is going to kindergarten, and Gavin/Owen are going to preschool.
Owen is all set to go
My little monkeys are ready to go to their first day of preschool!
If you look really close you can see my big kindergartener riding the bus (right behind the driver)
Gavin and Owen are ready to walk into the building for their first day!

This is Rees at the seperation day parade in Old New Castle
